I have interviewed thousands of interim executives, and many more have written to me. The way interims introduce themselves varies enormously, but the way to get noticed is straightforward: be clear about who you are and what you do.
Today I received an exemplary email from an experienced interim executive reminding me of his availability. I won’t embarrass him by telling you who it is, but his standard updates to me include the following in his ‘pack’:
Summary Statement – 1 page or can be a paragraph.
Short CV – 2 – 3 pages.
Medium CV – 6 pages – with a little more detail showing the scope of all
programmes.
